There are several California State routes that travel through Tulare County. State highway 99 is a four-lane divided north- south highway that traverses the central valley from Bakersfield to Red Bluff. It serves several small cities as well as large urban centers that support the agriculture and industry of the central valley. Highway 198 connects the California Central Coast to the central valley in Visalia, Ca and continues to the Sequoia National Park. It is the main route to the Sequoia National Park, from both Los Angeles, and the San Francisco Bay area. Other State Routes that you will find in Tulare County and in close proximity are routes 43, 63, 65, and Interstate 5.
