The Sequoia Valley communities define what “business friendly” really means. Our communities have designed localized programs specifically designed to assist businesses. These services are offered in addition to countywide programs such as the Business Incentive Zone and Foreign Trade Zone and are available in most communities depending on the scope of your project.
These local incentives include:
- Redevelopment Areas—Business start-up and infrastructure assistance.
- Industrial Development Bonds (IDB)—Low-interest loans.
- Business Loans, including Revolving Loan Funds (RLF)—“Gap” financing for business location and expansion projects.
- Commercial Rehabilitation Loans—Low-interest or deferred payment financing for rehabilitation of existing facilities.
- Façade Improvement Loans—Loans and grants for storefront improvements.
- Recycling Market Development Zones (RMDZ)—Financing and technical assistance users/producers of recycled feedstock.
- Enterprise Zones—Tax credits and other incentives.
- Utility Tax Credits—Capped amounts to limit tax burden.
- Land Write-downs—Reduced industrial land costs.
For more information on these and other incentives available, contact the EDC.
