AT&T opens media advertising center in Tulare County

Chris Jarboe, Sales Manager for AT&T Media Services, says the Visalia location was chosen because of the city’s promising potential for business opportunities. “We’re looking forward to expanding and growing our business as Visalia also expands and grows.” Jarboe also credits the Tulare County Economic Development Corporation for its role in helping AT&T find the most practical location for its new office. “There were many considerations in choosing the location of our production facility,” says Jarboe. “The Development Corporation was very hospitable and resourceful in finding a place where we would be connected to our telecommunications networks and also be at the center of commercial and civic activities.”

VF Opens California Distribution Facility in Tulare County
VF Outdoor, Inc., a global marketer of outdoor apparel, footwear and equipment, announced today plans to lease an 800,000-square-foot distribution center in Visalia, CA that will eventually create 350 local jobs. “This center will help us meet the needs of our current customers more effectively and provide us with the necessary capacity for future growth,” VF Presidnet Michael Egeck said. The center will streamline the North American distribution process for the outdoor businesses. VF officials said the central California location is attractive for shipping from Asian manufacturers to customers throughout the United States. In addition, Visalia’s central location between the international ports of Oakland and Los Angeles strengthened the geographic appeal. "I am very pleased that VF Outdoor is locating its new state-of-the-art distribution center in California's Central Valley," said Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, "and for the hundreds of jobs it brings to Californians.”
