Sequoia ValleyThings To Do

Sequoia Valley is an ideal location to offer the benefits of a rural life style without sacrificing culture, arts, or recreation. Each of the cities and numerous communities comprising the region have a unique sense of character.

Located in the heart of Central California, Sequoia Valley is situated midway between Los Angeles and San Francisco, the state's largest urban areas. The region, with a population of nearly 370,000, is nestled between the Sierra Nevada Mountains to the east and the Coastal Mountains to the west. About one-third of its 4,935 square miles is that of valley floor. The rest of the region is composed of foothills, timbered slopes and high mountains. Elevations range from 270 feet to 14,495 feet at the top of Mt. Whitney, the highest point in the continental United States. There are more than 110 mountain peaks in eastern Sequoia Valley that range in altitude from 8,000 to 14, 495 feet and furnish a backdrop of scenic wonder.

Whitney is also located in Tulare County.
