Taycal Press, a printing company located in Tulare County, faced the challenge of reorganizing its plant in order to accommodate a new product line. The Employment Connection provided employees with 12 weeks of upgrade training (the company was reimbursed for 50% of the team members' wages during the training period). To further assist employees, case management services were provided to the company both during and after the transition period.

In addition, the Tulare County Workforce Investment Department staff provided employees with two weeks of specialized customer service training specifically designed to meet the needs of Taycal's new customer service profile. Taycal has since expanded its operation as well as provided its staff with opportunities to upgrade their skills and increase their earnings.
