Tax Assistance: Employers experiencing a hardship as a result of COVID-19 may request up to a 60-day extension of time from the EDD to file their state payroll reports and/or deposit state payroll taxes without penalty or interest. Call the EDD Taxpayer Assistance Office at (888) 745-3886.
Filling Temporary Employment Needs: If your business has permanent or temporary jobs that are impacted by employees on leave, there are a number of local programs that can help recruit and train individuals to meet your job needs. Paid Family Leave: Employees who need to take care of children or family issues may be eligible for Paid Family Leave. The online application can be found here
